Browse files and organize favorites
Browse files, organize sidebar favorites into categories, and edit metadata in the information panel.

Open a folder
Choose Open Folder in Hub and navigate into its subfolders. Use path navigation to return to a parent folder. Check the current path before performing file operations.
Adjust the listing
Use the available view controls to change the presentation. Choose an available sort option such as name, time, or size. Filters affect which entries you see.
If a file seems missing, clear filters, check the folder path, and refresh the listing. Download cloud placeholder files locally before opening them.
Act on files
Select a file and open it through the tool menu, or use its context menu for available operations. Check the selection before starting a batch task.
For repeated conversions, see Batch processing and workflows.
Keep shortcuts in the left sidebar
Favorites can contain files, folders, and website bookmarks. Click + beside Favorites, choose a type, enter a name, and select a file or folder or enter an HTTP/HTTPS URL. Choose an existing category or create one while adding the favorite. The file browser also offers Add to Favorites and favorite buttons.
Click a favorite to open its target. Right-click and choose Edit Favorite to change its display name, path, icon, or category. These settings affect the shortcut; they do not rename or move the file on disk. Favorites persist after restarting the app. Update the shortcut path if you move its source file.
Organize categories and subcategories
- Click + → New Category beside Favorites or a category. Create “Project resources,” then choose it as the parent of “Images” or “Documents.” Choose Favorites Root for a top-level category.
- Add favorites from a category’s +, drag existing favorites into it, or change their category in Edit Favorite.
- Click a category heading to expand or collapse it. Its context menu lets you rename it, change its parent, or move it up or down among siblings. Drag a category onto another category to change its parent.
- Deleting a category moves its favorites and subcategories to its parent, or to Favorites Root if it has no parent. It does not delete the original files or websites.
Keep an input folder, an output folder, a saved .ofw workflow, and a project website in one category to return to the same work quickly.
Edit metadata for one file
Select or open a file, open the right information panel, and edit the available Metadata fields. Documents offer title, author, subject, and keywords; images offer EXIF fields such as author, copyright, capture date, and camera make. Supported formats include PDF, OFD, DOC/DOCX, XLS/XLSX, PPT/PPTX and supported OOXML macro formats, plus JPEG, PNG, WebP, and TIFF.
Press Enter or leave a text field to save directly to the original file. Clearing a field removes its value; Esc cancels the current unsaved edit. Commit dates through the date and time picker. Save pending document edits first. If another program changes the file, reload its metadata before trying again.
To apply values to many files or make copies with metadata removed, use metadata workflows.
Navigation, category appearance and document dates
Use breadcrumb arrows to open directory trees. A category’s edit dialog can change its icon, icon color, or custom image. PDF and OFD metadata can be edited in the information panel or through workflows. PDF has no Description or Last modified by field; OFD has no Last modified by field and stores dates without a time. Document dates and filesystem dates describe different things.
