Keyboard shortcuts and focus
Separate window commands from tab and tool shortcuts.

Find tool-specific commands
Click the keyboard icon or press F1. The reference adapts to the workspace, Hub, Quick Look, and active tool. On some laptops F1 requires Fn, depending on system settings.
If a key does nothing
Focus the intended pane and leave input fields, dialogs, or rename mode before retrying. Space types a character in an editor and may play media in a player. Tool shortcuts are not automatically global commands.
