Appearance, language, and file associations

Open Settings

Click Settings at the top right of the workspace, or press ⌘, / Ctrl+,. Settings opens as a workspace tab. You can also find the Settings tool in Hub.

Appearance and language

Choose a theme, theme color, and interface language in the relevant settings sections. Themes change the interface, not file contents. Changing the UI language does not translate documents.

File associations and browsing

Select formats in file association settings and follow system prompts. You may also need to adjust default apps in Finder or Windows Settings. Renaming extensions does not convert a file.

File-browser preferences affect presentation and filtering. If search misses an item, check excluded paths and whether it is only a cloud placeholder.
